Dec 9 tasks:

I’ve had lots of laughs reading through the teachers’ pages at Wikiton. Quite a school it is already! But let’s not stop at this, so here’s a little task for you to get things moving:

1. On “your” teacher’s page, make sure you have at least one word with an internal link to a place that does not yet exist. Preferably more.

This is how you do it: when you’re in edit mode, click on a word, then go to the little square button above that says Page Link when you move over it. That should give you three square brackets on each side: [[[word]]]. You can also do this manually, without using the buttons. The word will now show red once you’ve saved the page:

2. On someone else’s page, find a word in red, click on it, and start developing that new page. Also on these new pages you should try to have several links to pages that do not yet exist.

If everyone has a go at this the Wikiton site should expand quite a lot, and fast!

Today’s Task:

Today (13 Nov) you are to develop “your” teacher a little. First, create some (empty) links for others to develop.

Then, decide what subject your teacher teaches. Team up with other teachers of the same subject and together develop a subject page:

1. Create a learning resource (go to the “Learning Resources” tab on top of this page for ideas) and embed into the subject page

2. Find other relevant learning resources (using the above tab that says “Tools”) and embed these onto the subject site.
